Erbil – Iraq. On the 15th of March 2021

The best prevention of accidents or injuries is Education. On the 15th of March 2021, Sardar Group hosted a three-day awareness workshop in coordination with Erbil’s Civil Defense Directorate in the SAS Service Center on Mosul Rd. The workshop aims to train, educate and learn safety methods against fires. The workshop was attended by Sardar Group employees, and the Civil Defense Employees.

The workshop was divided into two categories: theoretical and Practical. Colonel Karawan Ali Haider of Erbil’s Civil Defense Directorate explained the theoretics in a classroom-type setting ensuring everyone’s understanding of the methods to follow in case of a fire outbreak and how to avoid injuries.

Other highlighted topics included:

• How to prevent fires and the least amount of injuries
• Necessary safety kits and proper procedures
• The suitable time to set off the fire alarm to avoid unnecessary panic

The second stage of the training was taught through practical applications. All workshop participants moved to multiple outdoor locations and applied their teachings to real-life situations.

Colonel Karawan Ali Haider reaffirmed the importance of safety and prevention methods and finished the three-day workshop by presenting certificates to all participants.
