Strengthening Iraqi-Saudi trade relations

Answering the invitation of Baroness Nicholson and Christoph Michaels, Mr. Sardar Al-Bebany, Chairman of Sardar Group, accompanied by 30 members of the Iraqi-British Business Council, traveled to Riyadh to meet with the members of the Saudi-Iraqi Business Council on March 27, 2022. The aim of this meeting was to strengthen the Iraqi-Saudi commercial relations, which would provide an opportunity for growth and prosperity that will serve the business community, in hope that these relations would ignite strength, stability, and sustainability could lead to bigger growth and expansion in the future.

During this conference, Mr. Sardar Al-Bebany shed light on the challenges facing the commercial sector in Iraq and stressed to the attendees the necessity of cooperation between the Iraqi-Saudi private sector to keep up with the development within the relations between those two countries. These agreements contribute to building bridges of joint international cooperation in various sectors, which will inevitably enhance investment opportunities.

The meeting concluded by inviting the SIBC members to attend the IBBC Spring Conference held at The Mansion House in London on May 24, 2022.
