Within the framework of the constant efforts of Sardar Group to achieve sustainable development, the group participated in the activities of the Iraq Energy Forum, which was hosted by the American University in Baghdad during the period June 18 – 20, 2022 in cooperation with the Iraqi Energy Institute with the theme of Global Energy Security in Times of Conflict and Uncertain Economic Recovery and in the presence of a group of dignitaries, scientists and experts in the field of energy led by Professor Ali Allawi, Vice President The Council of Ministers, the Iraqi Minister of Finance, and Mr. Muhammad Sanusi Barkindo, Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and a number of ministers, members of Parliament and diplomats, in the presence of Mr. Greg Logervaux, Permanent Representative of the US Embassy affairs in Baghdad.

The forum discussed the challenges facing the field of energy as well as the ways and strategies to overcome these challenges and their impact on the economy and the environment in light of global crises and conflicts, especially in developing countries that are most affected by these challenges, and the necessity of moving as soon as possible towards an economy that completely depends on clean renewable energy and working on utilizing all efforts and energies to reduce environmental pollution in factories, especially in developing countries, and to motivate governments, societies, and commercial companies to plan and build a strong partnership, in order to establish sustainable development projects.

There is no doubt that Sardar Group is a pioneer corporation that has implemented these strategies in all of the group’s companies in order to achieve sustainable development, and it strives to implement the showcase the outputs of this practice to the society by introducing advanced methods in the recycling of resources that contribute to reducing the loss of natural resources which helps in obtaining renewable energy as well as constantly working to protect and sustain it without harming the environment. And worked to save, develop, and invest in environmentally friendly projects.

It is worth mentioning that Sardar Group started took the initiative to implement those strategies and its vision in this regard by recycling all waste in its institutions to reduce the loss of primary resources and the use of alternative energy through solar cells, and to recycle the consumed energy to obtain clean, environmentally friendly energy in addition to saving and rationalizing Water consumption through water re-filtration systems within its facilities and its use for irrigation and cleaning uses.

Sardar group is working more and more widely to support the achievement of sustainable development goals through means of transportation that greatly affect the environment by supplying the Iraqi market with hybrid vehicles that reduce toxic emissions, in addition to securing the demand for fully electric vehicles to provide ways to obtain renewable, and environmentally friendly energy, promising a healthier future for coming generations.
