In the vibrant heart of Dubai, on December 12 and 13, Sardar Group and Toyota Iraq participated in the Iraq British Business Council Conference(IBBC), a leading platform fostering partnerships between Iraq and the United Kingdom in business, education, and technology. The event brought together a distinguished lineup of leaders and officials from Iraq and the UK, offering a unique opportunity to exchange insights and explore avenues for collaboration. This year’s conference was notable for its sessions focusing on education, the role of the private sector in skill development and job creation, as well as discussions on innovation and sustainability in business.

Mr. Sardar Al Bebany, Chairman of Sardar Group and Toyota Iraq, delivered a keynote address during the Business Day opening session alongside His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Daraji and Ms. Azhin Mustafa from SABIS schools. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of continuous education in enhancing professional skills and supporting youth. He highlighted the contributions of the group and Toyota Iraq as key partners in the Education Day sessions. Mr. Al Bebany elaborated on the group’s commitment to developing modern training programs that meet the needs of the Iraqi market in collaboration with global companies such as Wood, SAP, BP, and Basra Gas Company. This underscores Toyota Iraq’s pivotal role in providing learning and development opportunities.

Community initiatives are a cornerstone of Sardar Group and Toyota Iraq’s vision. The companies have been prominent contributors to environmental and developmental projects, including planting 4,300 trees as part of the “One Million Trees” project and launching initiatives like the Sakura Park, which enhances green spaces in Iraqi cities. They have also supported campaigns to clean historical sites, such as Dwin Castle, utilizing innovative techniques for environmental preservation. Additionally, the group and Toyota Iraq continue to support youth through employment and training opportunities, reflecting their deep commitment to social responsibility.

The conference saw the notable presence of key leaders, including His Excellency Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Economy, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Kurdistan Regional Investment Board, and Professor Hamid Khalaf Ahmed, Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister.
Attendees shared ideas and perspectives on the future of Iraq’s economy, expressing optimism about achieving shared goals to enhance sustainable development and economic stability.
