A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees particularly the Japanese Cherry, which is called Sakura in Japanese (桜 or 櫻; さくら). It is the national flower of Japan.
In the Western world, the cherry blossom symbolizes Japan. In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolize spirit of Samurai due to their nature of blooming. It blooms 10 days very beautifully and disappears suddenly, people miss it and appreciate it. It is matching with the Samurai behavior and its core spirit. The transience of the blossoms, the extreme beauty and quick death, has often been associated with mortality; for this reason, cherry blossoms are richly symbolic, and have been utilized often in Japanese art, manga, anime, and film, as well as at musical performances for ambient effect.
The Japanese community would like to share a part of their culture, their national plant, with the Iraqi people, so by the end of November 2015, 200 cherry blossom trees will be delivered by air to Iraq!
